Just for laughs.

Sometimes I like to picture-"stalk" my handsome husband:

Sometimes he sees me, and tries to prevent the picture from being taken.
Sometimes he gets "mad" and tries to swipe the camera out of my hand.
But I just keep "stalking" and snapping.  He's so handsome, I just can't help it. ;)
Sometimes Taylor thinks I'm a little weird.
But we're in love, so it's okay. :)

If you love me...

It all started with this:
The past few days, Taylor has decided to "take over" my health.  Let me put it this way...I get sick a lot...a lot, a lot, a lot.  Due to the fact that I'm constantly with Tay, when I get sick, Taylor usually gets sick.  Perfect example: I was sick this last weekend, and of course, Taylor got sick from being around me.  Put bluntly, Taylor is sick of getting sick.  So, he bought supplement vitamins for me to take on a daily basis.  There's only one tiny problem: I HATE TAKING PILLS!  I know its all in my mind, but I want to gag every time I even think about it!

That being said, Taylor has been having a heck of a time trying to get me to take these pills.  Last night, it took a good 45 minutes of coaxing...or more correctly put, "threatening" and "forcing," me to take the pills.  It was a typical parent-sickchild situation.  I refused to take the pills, Taylor refused to let me leave the kitchen until I took the pills, I told him he was a big fat meany-head, he told me he didn't care.  I'm sure all parents can relate to this little situation.  It was actually quite a humorous situation.  Even though we were both stubborn, we couldn't help but laugh the whole time. Taylor says he'll be a pro at getting our kids to take medicine after dealing with me. ;)

Anyways, this morning, before Taylor left for work, he kissed me on the check and told me (as I was half-asleep),"If you love me, you will take your vitamins this morning."  About a half hour later, I woke up, got ready, and walked out the door...completely, 100% spacing the fact that I was supposed to take my pills (I have faked "forgetting" a few times the past couple of days...but this morning, I honestly forgot!).

When I picked Taylor up for lunch, he asked me, "Do you love me?"
My response: "Of course."
Taylor: "Well, good.  That means you took your pills."
My face must have given away the fact that I had not taken the pills, because he immediately put on his puppy-dog face and said, "You don't love me..."
I quickly said, "That's not fair!  You can't say "if you love me, do this....!"  Of course I love you!  That's like me saying, "If you love me, buy me a Macbook Pro today!"

About five hours later, I came home to find this:
I guess he's proven his point. And I guess he really does love me. :)

Happiness!!!

Such a wonderful vacation!

We have been having SUCH a blast!!  Lots of beach trips, shopping trips, and yummy food trips.  Can life get better than that?  Plus, so many laughs, good times, and memories shared.

One funny story to share: Last night, we were trying to find a place to eat for dinner.  We got a late start, and didn't set out for dinner until about 8pm.  But EVERYTHING was closed!  Probably because it was Easter.  We were starving...and just wanted to eat!  Finally, we find the first open restaurant: TrueFoods.  None of us had heard of it before, and we decided to try it out.  As soon as we walked through the doors, we were a little skeptical: we heard strange indie music and saw lots of elderly...very pretentious looking elderly...but, we decided to check out the menu anyway.  Once we got a look at the menu, we realized it was a no-meat, gluten-free, good-food-free, quite expensive restaurant.  None of us wanted any of it.  We asked Dad if we could leave...but he was too embarrassed to get up and walk away since we had already been seated.  Dad finally relented as long as we let him leave first and get a head start before we all left.  So, he got up to leave...but we didn't really give him a head start.  So about 2 minutes after we were seated, we were bolting, and we were given the strangest looks.  We laughed all of the way back to the car.  Maybe you had to be there...but we enjoyed it immensely.  TrueFoods has become the joke of the trip.  We ended up having a very classy dinner at CoCos.  Yep...the only open place around.

Here are some pictures of our awesome trip so far:

California!

Alright folks, I apologize for the lack of posts.  We have just been having SO much fun in California.  I will post tonight to catch up...with lots of pictures!

Big surprise:  Taylor and my dad-in-law surprised us and met us at the airport!  They are staying with us until Tuesday...then the girls trip will begin.  I was so excited (and surprised!) to see my handsome husband at the airport!  We have been having SUCH an awesome time!

Well, we're off to go to shopping...and then to the beach! Jealous? ;)

Here we are on the plane to California...whilst we enjoy some Double-Chocolaty-Chip drinks from Starbucks!  I was still a little surprised that he was sitting next to me! :)

More to post...tonight! :)

Happy Day :)

Today is a happy day.  Why?  Taylor comes home!  I am so excited, I can hardly stand it.  I read a quote today that I loved:

"Marriage is like a sleepover with your best friend that never, ever ends."

I love it!  So true! I miss my best friend! I'm ready for him to come home.

Okay, if you like to bake (or even if you don't!), these little things were SO easy to make, and pretty delish.  Taylor loved them.  Too bad I had to smack his hand away a few times, because they were for a Young Women activity.  I promised him I would make him his very own batch later. :)

S'more Cups

I just saw this picture on my phone, and realized I never posted it!  Last weekend, I walked out to my car to go to work, and noticed this lovely surprise:
I have three words: Regan and friends.  I guess this is what happens when you live across the street from in-laws. Ha ;)  I couldn't help but laugh the whole time as I un-saran-wrapped the car.   She got me good.  That's okay though...revenge is sweet.  Watch out, Regs! ;)

Speaking of in-laws and Regan, can I just say once more how lucky I got?  My in-laws are the BEST.  It's so fun to be in Young Women with Regan.  I often find myself reminiscing to the fun times I had in Young Women with Marci and Jamie (sisters).  And now I get to do it all over again with my new sister :)  We have so much fun together!  Last night...well...I've been sworn to secrecy...but let's just say last night was a night Regan and I will probably laugh at for years to come.  Too many funny moments in one night.  And...I am SO excited for California next week with her and Mama G! Wahoo!

The countdown begins: 9 more hours until I see Mr. T!  I feel like a giddy girl on Christmas Eve.  Is this normal?  Whether it is or isn't, I don't care...I just miss my best friend and want him back! :)

Easter

Since I am leaving for California on Saturday, Tay and I celebrated our Easter early.  Well...I actually just surprised him with his Easter basket and told him we were celebrating. :)  I cooked up a hearty dinner, and we sat down and enjoyed each other's company.

Okay, yes...his Easter "basket" is a bowl.  Don't judge!  I completely forgot to pick one up when I was at the store...so I had to settle on a tupperware bowl. :)

Tay left town early this morning for Park City.  He will be there until Thursday night for a work trip.  So...I'm alone all over again!  But with school and work, I'll be keeping myself very busy! Then, on Saturday, I leave him behind for a whole week! Geesh.  I'm already missing him...can't wait to see him Thursday night!

Hoorah!!!

I just found out moments ago that I passed my Praxis teaching test!!!! This test is a World and U.S. History test ranging from 1400 B.C. to Present history...unreal right!?  I was so nervous, because I left the test feeling very unsure.  I was positive I had failed.  Tay kept telling me he thought I passed, and...he's was right!  (and this time, I'm not the least bit nerved that he was right and I was wrong!).  Why is this news so exciting? Now, GRADUATION feels real!  In less than 20 days, I will be walking in a BYU cap and gown.  I am completely, 100% finished with EVERYTHING! I am ready to celebrate by going to California and lying on the beach all day.  Mama Gilbert and Regan...you ready for this!?  Because I AM!

Yes, I had just shed a few tears. I am just so happy!

This weekend, we had the chance to celebrate Rachel's (Ryan's wife) birthday.  It was so fun!  I think me, Taylor, Marci, and Tom were the only white people, and the only one's who didn't speak Spanish.  But it was so fun!  And everyone was so nice...even though we probably looked a little clueless sometimes.  We had a blast!

Happy birthday, Rachel! Isn't she beautiful?
