these pictures were taken when Andi was a mere 18 hours old!
Not even a full day!!
She is seriously one of our very, very favorites.
I am a serious documenter of life...hence, getting birth photos, a fresh 48 session, and a newborn session. HA
I should probably not even point this out...but I was soooo swollen for about 48 hours after delivery because of all of the fluids they pumped into me due to my extremely high fever.
But I love every memory of my delivery--fever and swelling and all.
I already miss my teensy tiny baby!
can we have another one, tay? no...but for real...
these pictures mean so much to me!
our first day as a family of three.
our first day as parents.
our first day realizing the true and real importance of our marriage and love that we had created.
not even five hours after giving birth, taylor looked up to see me counting on my fingers.
he asked me what I was doing and I said, "I'm calculating when we should start trying to have our next baby!"
his mouth literally dropped open and he said, "you've. got. to. be. kidding. me. You still aren't even allowed to get out of bed...and you're thinking about number two!? do you not remember what happened five hours ago? what kind of meds are they giving you???"
HAHAHA
there is seriously NOTHING like the high you are on right after giving birth.
I have literally never been more mentally, spiritually, and physically tired (I would fall asleep in the middle of conversations with out visitors!), but I was also soooooo happy.
I couldn't even sleep longer than 20 minutes, because I wanted to look at pictures of my baby or hold her or just remember that THIS WAS NOT A DREAM!
She's ours forever!!!
I just love birth.
I love babies.
I want more.
\] <--- andi's feet just typed that.
so I'm keeping it. ;)
I think it was her trying to say, "you guys are real rookies at this parent thing."
yep, yep, we are.
but we really love being rookies if it means we get to be parents to our sweet, sweet girl.
