The Cat Lady

On our date night last night, Taylor and I pulled up behind a special car.
Meet Cat Lady's car (we took the privilege to name her):

So first, we saw the decal on her windshield. And we both kind of chuckled.
Then...we saw her license plate...kitty paw frame and all. And then we could NOT stop laughing.
I tried getting pictures of her car while we were stopped behind her.  But the pictures weren't very clear. So we resorted to stalking her.  We followed her to a store and when she got out and parked, I jumped out and snapped the pictures, while Taylor served as the get-away-driver.
We just couldn't help ourselves.  We had to document this wonderful memory.

Dear life: Even when you throw me a hard week, you know how to make me feel better with something as simple as this.
Dear Cat Lady: Thanks for being YOU.

Date night was the best.  Thanks to Cat Lady, stalking, and feeling like Michael Weston and Fi for a few minutes. ;)

Loving this weekend already!

Bedtime Stories Part 1

So here I lie in the middle of my bed.

Sounds like the beginning of a poem, right? Wrong.  It is just the musings of a husband who has not spent a lot of time in the middle of the bed.  Why is this you may ask? That is because my beautiful wife has no concept of what it means to share a bed :).

On the first night we shared our bed (now mind you this is not a little double we are talking about, this is a big giant king sized bed) we decided that I would take the right side, and she would take the left.  So we get in bed, we read scriptures, say our prayers, say goodnight and I rollover to fall asleep.  As I'm drifting away I feel this warm body hugging my back.  I think, "oh that's nice" turn to kiss her on the forehead, tell her I love her, and roll back over.  Only to find that she is still latched on to me. I roll back over to see this face.

Minus the food, of course, but the expression is spot on.

I believe it was at this point that I awoke to the realization that that little warm body was not going anywhere.  I have decided that really there is no reason we have a king sized bed, we occupy 2 1/2 feet of it on a good night. I had a friend email me this picture and I think it represents pretty well how our bed is divided.

How she can sleep like that every night I cannot begin to understand.  Yet even more baffling is the fact  that this week, with my wife at Girls Camp, I am actually missing that warm body at my back.

Winning.

I got to spend all of yesterday with my wonderful family.
We had so much fun!
But for some reason, my back was killing me all day.
Before going to bed last night, I asked Taylor if he would give me a back massage.
Of course he agreed.  But he said, "If you can find the Deep Blue Rub, then I will give you a massage that lasts twice as long."
Deep Blue Rub is a doTERRA product that we LOVE.  We just bought a new bottle a couple of weeks ago, but then it suddenly disappeared and was no where to be found.  Taylor has looked for it almost every night (since he loves using it), but has yet to find it.
Of course, I was now determined to find it.
Taylor left the bedroom as I was frantically looking everywhere for the dang bottle.
And then...within probably three minutes of Taylor making this deal, I ran out of the bedroom, DEEP BLUE RUB IN HAND.
Victory!  I had found it!
Taylor could NOT believe that I had found it so fast.
I was so excited and hyper for the next ten minutes or so, because I was about to get a dang good back massage!

Here are some pictures documenting my victory:

Yep, I'm definitely winning.
And...the massage was well worth it!
Thanks, Taylor!

You're invited...

Last night, Taylor and I had a party.
A very special party.
With just the two of us.
And...two irons, two ironing boards, and lots of wrinkly clothes.
Yep, that's right.
We had an ironing party!
Oh, and Michael Weston was invited too:
We watched Burn Notice (our very favorite) while we ironed away.

That whole pile of wrinkly clothes vanished surprisingly quickly.
The "mom trick" of trying to convince kids that chores are actually "fun" worked on us.
Because we had a lot of fun.

Iron high-five.

Thanks for coming to our party, Michael Weston!
FINISHED!

We really felt like champions by night's end for throwing such an awesome (and productive) party.
And really, who can complain when Michael Weston comes to their party?

And I think we learned a great lesson: "Mom tricks" work.
Watch out future children...I sense a lot of "parties" in your future.

Kevin is not a D-O-L-L.

When Regan, Mom Gilbert, and I were in California a few months ago, we decided to relax in the hotel one night and watch some TV.  We stumbled upon the tv show, "My Crazy Obsession."  And we so happened to watch an episode that changed our lives!
Have you heard about these people?
Watch the video on that page and read the article. I promise you won't regret it.
(Plus, the rest of this post won't make sense without a quick look at that page.)

Regan and I could NOT stop laughing through the entire episode.
So, naturally, "Kevin" (the crazies' main cabbage patch doll child...pictured above) became the running joke of the rest of the trip.  And much to Mama G's chagrin, the joke hasn't stopped since.
We frequently turn to "Kevin" (aka the air) and ask him to make decisions when the Gilb family can't decide where to eat, what to do, or even who should do the dishes.
We just say, "Let's ask Kevin." Then we turn to nothing and say, "Kevin? What do you think?"
And somehow...it's funny every single time.
If you haven't seen the full episode, find time to watch it.

Well, you can imagine mine and Regan's excitement when we found out that one of our neighbors owned a cabbage patch doll...and not just ANY cabbage patch doll.  They owned KEVIN.
The neighbor kids brought Kevin over on Sunday night.
Regan and I just about died.

Here are some pictures (and a video) of our weekend with Kevin:

Kevin watching Seth sleep.

Oh, and here's Kevin getting a massage.

I think we will be giving Kevin back to the neighbors tonight...before we become just as crazy.

2.5 days to go!

I am sooo ready for Taylor to come home.
I have been keeping myself busy, but I sure do miss that handsome boy.

Yesterday, Regs and I went to Yogurtland (our very favorite).
(She always gets something fruity...but I can never tear myself away from the chocolatey goodness)
And we took our cute little neighbor friend, Brooke.
That little girl has one sense of humor.  She kept us laughing the whole time.

I am going to miss the day when I don't live across the street from:
Ma and Pa Gilb
my best friend and sister, Regan
and all of the cute little neighbor kids.

When Taylor and I were doing our wedding registry at Target, I registered for a two-step stool.
Taylor looked at me and said, "Seriously?  Why are you registering for a stool?"
Me: "Well, you haven't lived the life of a 5'1" person. This is something I need on a daily basis!"
Since we've been married, I've rarely used it.  And not because everything is low...we sure have some high cabinets.  But because, when I can't reach something, I just ask Taylor, "Hey, can I use your height real quick?"  And he'll get whatever I need down from the unreachable high places (and he never even has to use tippy-toes! I'm always amazed!).
Taylor took this picture awhile ago to document the one time he's actually seen me use the stool, that I "supposedly needed on a daily basis." ;)
Don't tell Taylor this, but when he's not looking, sometimes I climb up on the counter and purposefully put things on the very top shelf in the very back of everything else (it's usually always the chocolate chips).  Then I'll say, "Hey Taylor? Can I use your height real quick? I need those chocolate chips way back there." Why do I do this?  I'm determined to see him use his tippy-toes one day to reach something!  Hasn't happened yet...
Still trying.

Anyways, the point of this little saga: in the last three days, I've used that stool more than I've used it in the last nine months! Why?  Taylor left and took his height with him.

Dear Taylor: I'm ready for you to come home so I can put this stool away.  I like using your height better :)

The desired forgettable, yet unforgettable moments of marriage, Part 2

Part 2 of the desired forgettable, yet unforgettable moments of marriage is here!
See this if you missed part 1. Hopefully, you won't regret taking a moment to read that one first before you plunge ahead to this post.

Let's refresh what this post is about:
We all have these moments, don't we?  You know, the moments that you never want to relive.  The moments that you pray everyone will forget.  The moments that make your cheeks turn red just thinking about it.  The moments you wish you could forget, but you know will never be forgotten.  Well, I figured since there was no hope of these memories ever being forgotten, I might as well record them.  So please, enjoy mine and Taylor's desired forgettable, yet unforgettable moments of marriage.
So, you ready?  Here goes,
 Part 2:
For the past few months, Taylor has been going to the gym with his dad every morning.  The other day, while we were both in the bathroom getting ready, I turned to Taylor and asked, "So, which particular muscles are you working on?"
Taylor named off a few, and then gave me a quizzical look, "Why?"
I obviously wasn't thinking, because I answered with the truth, when I should have answered with a lie.
"I just wanted to know, so I knew which muscles to compliment."
As soon as that came out of my mouth, I slapped my hand to my mouth and whispered, "Dang it."
Definitely ruined that. Good job, wife.
You weren't supposed to tell him that was why you were asking!
Now, whenever I compliment Taylor and his cute sexy muscles, Tay always just laughs and rolls his eyes.
No muscle compliment from the wife is taken as a sincere complement from here on out.
Dang it, dang it, dang it.

A couple of Saturdays ago, Taylor woke up much earlier than I did.  He started playing video games, while he waited for me to wake up.  The handsome boy just didn't realize how loud the surround system was.
So, half-asleep I yelled from the bedroom:
"David!"
No response.
Still half-asleep: "David!"
No response.
Still half-asleep: "David, can you turn that down?"
Taylor walked into the bedroom slowly.  "Did you just call me David? Multiple times?"
I opened my eyes, this time fully awake, and said, "Yeah....yeah...I did.  Who's David?"
"That's what I wanted to ask you." Taylor said as he playfully winked at me. "Who's David, and why is my wife thinking about him first thing in the morning?"
I just started laughing.  Who the heck is David? I hardly even know a David!
Don't worry, dearest husband, you have nothing to worry about.  I was thinking about you first thing in the morning...I just couldn't remember your name. ;)

Taylor came home one day and said to me as he walked into the door, "Hello, my chubby bride!"
His face looked just as surprised as mine when the words came out of his mouth.
"I...have...no idea why I just said that...." Taylor said, with a confused look on his face.
Now, the nickname has stuck...just for kicks. ;)
But it sure was funny to see his face once he realized what he had just said.

This one actually has a blog post of it's own, but I think it deserves to be on this post as well:
Taylor (with a sad face): "You forgot my half birthday..."
Me: "What? When was it?"
Taylor: "February 1st."
Me: "Whoops. Sorry. But you didn't remember or celebrate mine on October 15th."
Taylor: "Well, we were on our honeymoon that day, so that's automatic celebration."
Me: "We weren't on our honeymoon on October 15th..."
Taylor: "Yes, we were..."
Me: "Taylor, our honeymoon was only five days."
Taylor: "Yeah, I know. We got married on the 11th. So we were still on our honeymoon on the 15th."
Me: "Are you serious?" Then I explode in violent laughter. "This is so sad."
Taylor just looked at me with a confused look and said, "The 11th..." in a small timid voice. Then a startled look of realization and immediate regret hit his face (an appropriate "oh shizzz" face), until he joined me in uncontrollable laughter.
We've only been married for 5 months and he's already forgotten that we were married on the 8th. And he can't even use old-age as an excuse...
Hope you enjoyed.  Look forward to Part 3 of the desired forgettable, yet unforgettable moments of marriage. Coming soon. :)

Love this boy, and love these moments.

A little gem.

While looking through some random files on my computer the other day, I found this little gem.
Britt, me, Tay, and Kelsey
I started laughing so hard when I came across this. Dearest Kelsey Briggs sent it to me after the wedding, but I don't ever remember seeing this picture!  Taylor's face is what makes this picture a treasure.  My chunky little Asian. ;)

Hope this made your Wednesday a little bit better. :)

Mangina.

Remember how I talked about the Mongolian BBQ Taylor and I went to on Friday? And remember how I said that I couldn't wait to go again?  Well, we went...again.  Here's what happened:

The past couple of weeks, Taylor has been having some strange chest/heart pains, among some other bizarre symptoms.  I finally decided to take charge, and scheduled a doctor's appointment for him.  He complained to me about it all weekend, and tried convincing me that he didn't need to go and see a doctor.  He told me he was perfectly healthy (which I responded with, "Then go and have your doctor tell you that, and I hope you prove me wrong!") and going to a doctor's appointment was silly.

I jokingly diagnosed him with Angina (a heart condition, pronounced 'an-gyna'...which is what makes it so funny), which quickly turned into Mangina (thanks to Seth).  Taylor's Mangina has been the ongoing joke of the past few days.  Every time Seth sees him, he's sure to ask Taylor how his "Mangina" is doing. Ha.  Or, anytime Taylor does something wrong, drops something, or stumbles on his words, we quickly tell him, "Don't worry. It's just because of your Mangina."

Anyways, so of course, Taylor continued to complain all yesterday leading up to his afternoon appointment.  But I just stuck firm and continued to say, "We've got to get your Mangina checked by a doctor!"

Taylor finally told me, "Okay, I will go to the doctor's happily if we can go to Mongolian BBQ tonight."
Done and done.

Even after that deal though, he still wasn't very happy about it...but I wasn't going to challenge him, because I really wanted Mongolian BBQ ;)

To get me back, he teased me about having a fatal heart condition for the rest of the afternoon.

Dear husband: that wasn't funny. Even though some of your comments made me laugh...it still wasn't funny. :)

Here's some proof via our texting conversation that day (excuse our frequent misspellings...there was a time that we cared about that {like when we were dating}, but that time has long since passed):

Anyways, long story short: Taylor's Mangina is a-okay!  Thank goodness!  He was given a few medications, and it's nothing too serious.  But I think the "mangina" term will stick around for awhile longer. ;)

And then, we celebrated the end of the day at our new favorite place:

See?  He smiles even with Mangina!

Flagstaff, Part TWO

After a splendid night in Vegas, we were off to Flagstaff (the location of the Fun concert)!  On the drive down, Taylor turned to me and said, "I just had a sinking feeling that I scheduled our room in Flagstaff for the wrong night."  Taylor opened up his email...and, sure enough, he had scheduled our hotel room for the night before.  While Taylor sunk in despair, I couldn't help but laugh.  Come what may, and love it, right?

The part that made me laugh the most was that Taylor scheduled our hotel in Vegas and our hotel in Flagstaff in the same sitting!  How did he not notice that he scheduled two rooms for the SAME night!? It was just soooo funny. ;)

Seth and Jordan, were sleeping in the backseat during this discovery.  Taylor turned around and yelled, "Hope you like sleeping in a car...because that's where you'll be sleeping tonight!"  They were startled awake, and then we all had a good laugh about our current debacle.  What to do?  Pay for another night? Buy a tent at Walmart and sleep in the woods? Sleep in the car? Try to convince the hotel to let us stay for "free"?  I mean, we already paid for a room, right?  Then Seth had an idea: "Let's just drive the eight hours home after the concert.  We'll take shifts, and then have all of Wednesday to relax at home!"  We were sold.  Goodbye, $90 that paid for an empty hotel room!

Next up? Concert time.  I think I'll let the pictures tell the story.
First of all, we were shocked when our GPS led us here.  The concert was actually held in a stadium in the middle of the woods!  I felt like I was going to camp or something...haha.
We were so excited!!

We couldn't believe how close we were!  (little did we know, we would
be pushed up to the very FRONT row!!)
Oh, baby!
Look at how close we were! Amazing!

I love you, Nate!

Alright, this video has awful sound quality, and all of us in the audience sound awful. BUT it still gets me excited just watching it, and remembering how amazing this concert was! Watch how close Nate gets to us!  We were so dang close!

So, Taylor had a major stomachache all day before the concert.  He was downing Pepto-bismol.  Gross.  But he was such a champ, and survived the concert.  I had to take a picture of him with his Pepto ;)
After the concert, we were all so hyped up, that driving home seemed like a breeze!  Who could be tired after a concert like that?  After a stop for food, gas, and some treats, we were off!

A picture before the all-night drive!
We decided to drive in double shifts.  The passenger (and driver, of course) would stay awake, while the two people in the backseat would sleep.  While Seth and Jordan were driving (which meant Tay and I were sleeping), we were suddenly jolted awake by Seth screaming, "Oh my gosh!" Jordan slammed on the breaks, and then...BAM!

I woke up thinking, "This is it.  This is how I'm going to die." ...dramatic? Yes.  Because, folks, we did not die.
"What just happened!?"  Taylor asked frantically.
"We just hit a gigantic bird!" Jordan answered.  I think we were all a little shaky at this point.
Seth: "What the heck is a dumb bird doing up at four in the morning?  Doesn't he know it's time to be sleeping!? What a stupid bird!"  The funniest part of this statement is that Seth was legitimately upset that the bird was not sleeping at four AM.
Taylor: "Well, maybe it wasn't a bird..."
Seth: "What? Oh no...what if it was our guardian angel!"  He then bowed his head, "Dear God, if we just killed our guardian angel, can you send us another one?  And please send us one that is a little smarter and won't fly in front of the car and get killed.  Thank you for your consideration." I don't know how he does this all with a straight face.
We all couldn't help but laugh.  And we were all now fully awake at four in the morning.  We arrived home safely (but exhausted!).

Even though this trip was short, it was worth every minute (and every lost dollar!).  We had so much fun!

The desired forgettable, yet unforgettable moments of marriage

Part 1

We all have these moments, don't we?  You know, the moments that you never want to relive.  The moments that you pray everyone will forget.  The moments that make your cheeks turn red just thinking about it.  The moments you wish you could forget, but you know will never be forgotten.  Well, I figured since there was no hope of these memories ever being forgotten, I might as well record them.  So please, enjoy mine and Taylor's desired forgettable, yet unforgettable moments of marriage.

A couple of weeks before Taylor and I were married, Taylor's parents bought Taylor a brand new (and extremely nice!) suit.  A parting gift of sorts.  It was actually the suit picked out for him to wear for our wedding.  I loved it, and he sure looked handsome in it.  About two weeks after we were married, Taylor and I were getting ready for church, when the incident happened.
Taylor turned to me and asked, "Have you seen my suit pants?"
"Nope, I don't think so."
"I swear I put them right here." Taylor said as he pointed to the end table at the foot of our bed.
My eyes widened with realization, "Oh no..."
"What?" Taylor asked.
I ran into the laundry room, opened the dryer, and rummaged through the warm clothes inside, silently praying that his suit pants would not be among the other clothes.  Sure enough, they were there.  I pulled them out slowly, and looked up at Taylor who had just walked in.  Taylor gingerly lifted the pants out of my hands and held them up.  His suit pants were now the size of twelve-year-old Taylor (or 21-year-old Kelli).
My eyes filled with tears as I hurriedly tried to explain what had happened, "I'm so sorry! I grabbed the whole pile of clothes that was sitting on that table and just stuck them all in the washer.  I didn't look!  I know that you can't wash suit pants...I know that!  I just didn't look...I just assumed!  I'm so sorry! I'm such a horrible wife!"  I rambled, without pausing for breath.
With his emotions unreadable, Taylor looked at me for a few seconds, and then slowly, ever so slowly, broke into a smile.  "It's okay, Kells.  They're just pants.  And you're not a horrible wife." Taylor threw the now-ruined pants over his shoulder and bent down to kiss me softly.  "Really, it's okay."  I was shocked when Taylor broke into laughter.  How is he laughing!?
Regardless, I still felt awful inside (and still do to this day!).  As much as I want to forget this embarrassing event, it is absolutely unforgettable.  The story is told at many family events--how the brand new suit was ruined by the brand new wife. ;) As Taylor likes to say, "The bad news, is that I no longer have a sweet suit.  The good news?  I now have a sweet sports jacket."
RIP handsome suit...
Hello, sports jacket!
Or how about this:

A couple of months ago, I decided to try out a new recipe.  I had been looking forward to it for days, and was so excited to try it out.  I slaved in the kitchen, and then placed on the table what I thought looked like perfection. A delicious casserole.  I excitedly told Taylor dinner was ready, and scooped a hearty amount on each of our plates.  After prayer was said, we dug in.  After the first bite, I stopped and looked up at Taylor, as a look of disgust spread across my face.
"I think I put way too much salt into this!  It's so salty!"  The disappointment in my failure must have registered across my face.
Taylor quickly took another bite and said, "I think it tastes great!"
I was surprised as he continued to take bite after bite.  Maybe I just happened to get a really salty bite?  So I took another bite. Just as salty as the first. "No, Taylor! This is so gross! How are you eating this!?"
Taylor shrugged and said, "It's good." Maybe I just happened to scoop all of the salty parts on my plate?  So I took a bite off of his plate. Just as salty. Yuck!  At this point, I was extremely confused.  I just looked at him and asked, "You really like it?"
Taylor smiled between bites, "Love it." And kept eating. Salty bite after salty bite.  I sat there in amazement and just watched him eat what tasted like pure salt cubes.  Taylor scraped the last bite off of his plate and then set his fork down.  "You did great, Kells.  That was delicious."
My disappointment faded as I slowly said, "Well...at least you liked it..." I was still shocked that he had eaten his whole plate. But maybe my dinner wasn't a total failure after all!

About an hour later, I found Taylor sprawled on the couch, with a pained look on his face.
"You okay?" I asked him.
"Fine." He responded.
"You don't look okay.  Are you sick?"
Taylor opened his eyes as a half-smile spread across his face.  "Too much salt."
At first I was confused, but as realization hit, I started to laugh uncontrollably.  "Why did you keep eating it!?"  I asked him in between laughs.
"I just couldn't bare to see your disappointment.  I didn't want you to think that you failed."  Taylor squeezed his eyes shut and gave a small moan as his hand reached to his stomach.  He opened one eye and squinted up at me. "I don't think I liked that casserole..." And then, regardless of my guilt and Taylor's wounded stomach, neither one of us could control ourselves...we broke into uncontrollable laughter.  Now, every time I cook, Taylor has to monitor the salt amounts.  He will never let me forget this or live it down.

While this picture isn't directly related to the incident, I feel as if it captures
my emotions during this particular dinner perfectly.
Now, don't be fooled.  Taylor isn't innocent of these particular incidents.  And here's proof:

On the way home from BYU one day, Taylor and I were talking about various things.  As we were walking to our front door, Taylor sighed heavily and said, "I wish I was single again."
I whipped around, and exclaimed, "What?!"
Taylor's eyes grew wide as his hand slapped against his mouth. "That came out so wrong!  That's not what I meant!"  I could see Taylor's mind frantically backtracking, attempting to eat the words that had just come out of his mouth. "I was just reading about a study abroad through BYU...and I was thinking about how I wished I could do one...but you can't be married.  I don't really wish I was single again...I was just saying that...oh, geez. There's no way to recover from this one..."
Taylor covered his face with his hands, then, like a six-year-old boy, peeked through his fingers and asked quietly, "Forgive me?"
Of course, I forgave him.  But you'd be wrong if you assumed the whole incident was forgotten.  I've never let him live it down ;) My husband actually said, "I wish I was single again."
Definite wrong words to say. ;)
Even though he didn't mean it that way and wishes I'd forget about it altogether, I still like to tease him about it.

There are plenty more of these incidents within the Gilbert home.  That's why this is only Part 1.  Look forward to more.  And together, we'll record the desired forgettable yet unforgettable moments of our marriage.

Thank goodness for crazy love in these type of situations :)

Words I've loved

Have you talked to TaylorRayGilbert before?  If so, you've probably noticed his amazing vocabulary.  It's one of the first things I noticed about this boy. I've never had to stop and ask someone to define so many words in one conversation (or, more like, in one sentence).  A typical daily conversation between the two of us has me often asking, "Huh?" or "What?" or "What does that mean?"  Here are some good examples from the past couple of nights:

Kelli: "How do you feel about me making lemon glazed chicken tonight?"
Taylor: "Sounds copasetic."
Kelli: "Huh?"

Or this one from the other night:
Taylor: "...and she was standing with her arms akimbo--"
Kelli: "With her arms what?"

While his vocabulary is often times over my head, he also has the strangest vocabulary ever.  Here are some of his latest from the strange category:

While getting in the car today, the car keys stabbed his hand, and he yelled, "Fetch tard!" As much as I wanted to sympathize over his wounded hand, I couldn't help but burst into laughter. Fetch tard? Really?

Or how about when he broke a light bulb yesterday, "Oh, shoot dang!" Sorry to break it to you, babe, but you didn't grow up on a farm... Shoot dang is a little hick, if you ask me.

Other words I've loved?

I frequently wake up to the words, "Good morning, beautiful." There's not a better way to start my day.

Or, my very favorite...
The other night, Taylor caught my eye and mouthed the word, "Forever."
"Forever?" I asked confused.
He looked at me, smiled, and then said, "Us."
I think it's safe to say that this boy still makes my heart beat a million times a minute.

And also the four words engraved on the inside of my wedding ring:
"Love you dearly, Kells."

And here are three more words I love:
:)
Here's a little something to sum this whole post up:

"Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless."

The grand and the simple are equally wonderful.

Yesterday was a simple day.  Yet, it was a happy day.  Our good friend (and matchmaker!), Jordan Mckee, joined us for dinner last night.  I tried a new recipe: glazed lemon chicken over pasta.  I wasn't a huge fan, but Taylor gobbled it down and loved it (he even ate my serving!).  I think he was sad that I probably won't make it too often, since I didn't love it myself.  ;)

Our dessert plan for the night was dessert crepes.  BUT, we had a little bit of a crepe debacle.  They just weren't working for us last night.  Taylor was able to successfully make two crepes.  So he ate one of them.  The other one he offered to me...but then, it wasn't really an offer after all.  Instead, it ended up here:
Yep, right in my face.  Thanks, TayRay.
Tay and Jordo enjoyed some computer games together, while "We Bought a Zoo" played in the background.  Taylor and I really enjoyed that movie!  If you haven't seen it yet, I recommend it!

My night was simple.  And yet, it was wonderfully happy.  Thank goodness for the grand, the simple, and the in between.
