My turn.

Taylor is sick.
Very sick.
I'll spare you details.

This is the first time in our marriage that I can remember him being sick.
He is usually a champ...he still goes to school and work when he feels gross.
And I'm the exact opposite--the smallest sign of a sickness, and I call it quits.
I'm such a wuss.

As much as my little heart breaks for him, I am secretly excited that I get to take care of HIM for once.
Instead of the other way around.
When I get sick, he is SUCH a gem, and spoils me.
See here and here.

Finally, I get to return the favor. ;)
But, I'm sure praying for a speedy recovery.
Join me?

Cabo

Isn't my mama cute?

That's us up in the sky!

See my dad up there? ;)

We had a beach day in Cabo.
It was so wonderful.
Except when it hit 1pm.
Then all of the college students on their spring break woke up from their hangovers and started showing up on the beach.
Within 20 minutes, it was instantly packed.
Everyone was drinking and going crazy.
Jai and I even saw five girls getting tattoos that said, "tits out for the boys."
what the what!?
I think they will regret that drunken mistake. ha
That's when we gave up and decided to go back to the ship.
BUT we did get to go parasailing!!
I've always wanted to go, and I finally get to check it off of my bucket list.
Jamie and I even got to go together.
It was probably one of the coolest things I've ever done.

This was actually my first time in Cabo.
Next time I go, I'm going to make sure that it's no where near spring break season.
Or maybe I'll just rent a private beach. ha

(p.s. there are a million pictures of jamie in these cruise posts. let's just say her and I were always together, and I'm always with my camera. So...that's how that happened. And she's fun to photograph, so I guess it worked out well ;))

P.S. So excited we are on our LAST quarter of the school year! I can't believe this year is almost over.
8 more weeks!

Some cruise nights

I have the cutest little brother and sister :)

Jamie was having some fun with my camera with these shots haha ;)

Nights were so fun on the cruise.
On this particular cruise line, they had "movies under the stars."
They have a huge movie screen out on the deck and they play a different movie every night.
They give you blankets to cuddle in, popcorn, pizza, and cookies.
Even though Jamie and I often fell asleep halfway through the movies, it was our favorite activity!

C, J & I all shared a room.
I can't tell you how hard we were laughing most nights as we lay in bed.
Before I left for college, and it was only us three in the house, we used to have SO much fun together.
I felt a little nostalgic being with just these two again.
I sure do love them.

Puerta Vallarta

In Puerta Vallarta we got to:
go on a tour and see the beautiful city
hold huge iguanas
swing on rope swings into amazing swimming holes

Isn't a stunning place?

3rd quarter.

Okay, so I've sucked at blogging this week.
But I have a good excuse.
It was the last week of 3rd quarter.
And if you're a teacher, you know exactly what that means.
CRAZINESS.
EVERY DAY.
So many needy, crying, begging students.
It's awesome.
Not.

So all of my extra time and energy has been going into my lesson plans--to keep them still exciting while I'm dying of exhaustion inside.

Today in my world civ classes, we learned about fascism (hitler, mussolini, hirohito, etc).
And we made mustaches to wear while we learned about it.
I even wore a mustache the whole time I taught.

Proof.
No, this is not my whole class.  I had to crop and zoom in on the picture so you can see the staches.
(mine was on a popsicle stick because it kept falling off while I was lecturing...haha)

And, yes, I am shorter than everyone!
I don't think the students realize how short I am when they're sitting down.
It's when they stand up that they say, "How tall are you, Mrs. Gilbie!?"
;)

Thanks for having fun with me and my crazy ideas, sophomores!

I'm back! +first cruise post

I'm back!
The cruise was amazing!
I was dying by the end, because I missed Taylor so badly.
Even though I loved every minute of the cruise, I am so happy to be home with my wonderful man.
Yesterday, I was so giddy every time we were together, since it was so long being apart!
I can't live without this boy!

The first couple of days on the cruise were days at sea.
Jamie and I laid out on the deck and read.
It was so wonderful!
I started and finished Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand.
And right when I got home, I ordered it online so I could have my own copy.
(I was reading a library copy)
It was amazing! I definitely recommend it!

Not a whole lot of pictures were taken the first two days--it was uneventful, and I loved it.

Our first stop was Puerto Vallarta.
We had a fun time there, and I'm excited to share pictures tomorrow!

PACKING!

I leave for the airport in approximately 1 hour.
I still have to:
finish packing
eat dinner
and get some odds and ends in order.

...why am I blogging?
UGH

Haven't blogged all week--and there will be a week of NOTHING because I will be in the middle of the ocean with my sweet family.
I will miss Taylor like you won't believe.
BUT OH HEY.
IM GOING ON CRUISE ROUND TWO!

Peace out, America!
